Safety

Safety is part of the job.

Oilfield customers expect contractors to take safety seriously. Our program is written around the work our crews actually perform and the sites they work on.

Every Jenks employee has stop-work authority.

If something isn't safe or isn't understood, the job stops until it is addressed. Employees are not penalized for good-faith stop-work decisions.

01

Our Approach

Understand the work, identify the hazards, make sure the crew is prepared. Then do the job.

02

Job Safety Analysis

A JSA is completed and reviewed before field work: hazards, hose routes, line of fire, moving equipment, weather and communication.

03

Training & Qualification

Crews are trained on the equipment and tasks they are assigned, and work only within that scope.

04

PPE & H2S Awareness

Required PPE on every job, with H2S awareness and gas-monitor use where site conditions call for it.

05

Equipment & Vehicle Inspections

Pressure equipment, hoses, fittings, trucks and trailers are inspected before use.

06

Hazard Communication

Chemicals are handled per label and SDS, with SDS accessible to the crew in the field.

07

Customer & Site Requirements

We check in with the site representative, follow site-specific rules and coordinate with the other contractors on location.

08

Continuous Improvement

Incidents and near misses are reported and reviewed so the next job goes better than the last.

Production never overrides a safety control.
